Three In One

Ever heard of an Auto driver to be a writer or a radio jockey? Are you Kidding..... The moment we say an auto driver an ugly picture of a cunning person emerges in our mind.A person who is hell bent on charging more money by tampering meter or being rude to its passengers. But imagine an auto driver who drives his auto from 8 am in the morning till late night. After going home he writes poems which he scribbles during his daily work and finally acts as a radio Jockey on Saturdays.
Here my next unsung hero is Shiv kumar an auto rickshaw driver from Bangalore who is a writer,a social worker and a radio jockey.Hard to believe but this gentleman has been awarded Six awards from the police commissioner for honesty and bravery; Few citations for outstanding social work; Recognition for services to the community and Many grateful and loyal clients. One example of his honesty :
In 1996 one passenger left ornaments and other material worth 4 lakh in his auto.He returned it to the police Commissioner. His logic was when we loose even 10 or 15 rupees we become so tense ,so worried the person will be who left such huge amount.

From helping an injured person to donating blood he is always there to help people in distress. He regularly visits old age home to serve food to old people.his customers are his god because he feels that it is the same public through whom he earns his daily bread.
Another role played by him is that he is a radio Jockey representing his dented community. On Saturdays he can be heard on radio Active interviewing famous people from 9 pm to 11 pm.It is the only show where various issues of the Auto drivers are discussed.
His auto rickshaw number is KA05B370.Unlike other autos his vehicle is adorned with the pictures of freedom fighters because he wants people to see these photographs and get inspired .
For him Sky is the limit and Miles to go before he sleeps.
Wish we could have few more Shiv kumars in Namma Bangalore so that people need not participate in Meter jam.All the Best Shiv Kumar ,Keep going......

Marathon Judgement Day

We all are very used to criticizing our judicial system where decisions for cases takes years to come. The courts have lakhs and lakhs of backlog work in spite of High court and Supreme Court shouting at the top of their voice to speed up the entire judicial process. Thus in this scenario when I read about a Junior Civil Judge who decided not one or two but One Hundred and eleven Criminal cases in day it came to be a refreshing change. Therefore I decided to make him as apart of my Unsung hero group.
Now Let us see who is he and what did he do?Junior Civil Judge J V V Satyanarayana Murthy of Mangalagiri town delivered the judgments on Thursday, Mangalagiri Bar Association officials said. The previous record in the country was of 80 cases, they said.Of the 111 cases, in 78 the accused confessed to the offenses, resulting in imposition of fines totaling Rs. 99,500. The cases related to theft, street brawls, domestic quarrels and road accidents, among others, they said.Taking a fast decision is not a new thing for him because few years ago also he has proved his mettle by deciding 808 civil cases in 20 days.
But such news are always given a very short space because may be we all are not interested in acclaiming such feats.Instead we are more bothered by what kind of sale is going at which place? But these are the signs of new change .Only if we have few of such kind of Judges our judicial system can be on a fast track.

Never say Never

70%in SSC Examination.....and what do you think will it make a big headline? Are you kidding 70 % a headline never....But this is exactly what happened because the student who scored the marks walks on one foot.Incredible achievement,i say because she fought against all odds to stand .She is shirin shaikh second daughter of Shamsher Sheikh and Shakeela, who live in a small rented room at crowded Islampura locality. While father works in a welding shop, mother assists a gynaecologist. Elder sister Guddi is pursuing diploma in education (DEd) while younger brother Fardeen is in Class VIII.
It was really heartening to read that both of her parents were aware of her deformaties before she was born.Inform dactors suggessted an abortion but both of them refused.May be they wanted all of us to know how strong people can become with their will power.Shirin was born was born with two feeble twigs for hands hanging from the shoulders and without fingers and only one leg. But one thing she had more than others was spirit and her parents never made her feel hopeless.

In fact such is her spirit that inspite of being offered a writer in the examination ,she preferred to write herself using the toes of her only leg . Her story of bravery is an example of courage for all people who think that they have lost all hope in life. Not only she has to battle her severed eformaties but also extreme condition of poverty. Her story should be a model example for everyone to tell that
If destiny does not give you many choices than you have to come up with your own script.

Unfortunately I could not find her photograph in Times Of India.
Her story reminds me of few lines of a hindi poem:
Lehron se Darkar nauka par nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki haar nahin hoti

Enunches

Today I have decided to write about a group for whom I always has sympathy.Even I used to feel very bad as to why people make fun of them or are scared of them.If they are not in a proper group than it is not their mistake. The best thing i like them about is they always pray for the betterment of society and imagine the same society does not even give them an inch of respect. Please see this video to know about them more. http://ibnlive.in.com/videos/125894/zindagi-live-eunuchs-and-their-world.html?from=hp
